Recorded over a period of four years, Virtual Proximity's self-titled debut combines instrumental jazz with electronic loops, hip-hop style beats and environmental samples. The mood is often dark and introspective, with some weird suprises.

Active from 2009 - 2015, Virtual Proximity was a project of saxophonist, electronic musician and producer James Annesley. The project incorporated elements of jazz, ambient, triphop and experimental electronica.

The live edition of Virtual Proximity included Tristan Courtney on bass and drum programming, with VJ Robert Jarvis providing a psychedelic visual backdrop.
